What is a good online company to order parts from?
Resistors, caps, etc...
www.taydaelectronics.com
to name a few ...
Thank you very much. Just got an Arduino for my son and already he needs more parts.

If you're in the UK I can thoroughly recommend Proto-PIC http://proto-pic.co.uk/
They carry a lot of SparkFun items and have lots of interesting stuff that's ideal if you're at the tinkering stage or just trying to learn your way around.
Nice people and quick delivery (no, I don't work for them :P, just a satisfied repeat customer)

newark.com has some parts others don't and some parts are cheaper there.
Gotta watch Newark tho, get that surprise "only ships from England and costs an extra $20"
Anybody got a DIP library for msgeq7? Can only find SOIC version at sparkfun.

Yes, they have some really cheap knobs (rotary encoder, pots) that only ship from England. I steered clear of those items, so my collection of knobs is incomplete!!!

In the UK when ordering from Farnell, we have to watch out for "US Stock, delivery charge £15.95 per order" meaning it comes from Newark.
The same sort of "surprise" can happen with the RS/Allied pairing. An order to RS.it that ships from RS.uk has no surcharge, and not much delay, but it can get pretty pricey and slow to boot if it has to come from Allied (U.S.),

Hi, strange how each area has different delivery conditions for the same companies.
RS here in Australia, order online before 6pm and if in stock will be delivered free of charge the next day by courier.
If 5 or 6 days availability, or UK or USA stock, then a delay but still free of charge delivery.
E14 or Farnell, if you phone them it is amazing what you can wheel and deal out of them.
Especially components that RS have, but not 24hr delivery, E14 have but exorbitant price.
They do want your custom, when they realise you are a regular RS customer if its in there power they will bend over backwards.
Sorry but digikey and mouser here are too expensive, even though they provide an Australian online address.

I have used:
http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&rfr=1
Depending on where you are in So. Cal - you might also want to check out surplus places; my favorite place to shop (online - but they also have walk in hours):
Here's another place I frequent (but it isn't in California - and it's online only anyhow):
http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/
One thing I love and recommend to everyone to at least purchase once (and that'll probably be enough times for anybody - except crazy people like me):

Tons of parts and stuff to play with (you will seriously be surprised what they can stuff into that box!) - for $8.00 (sometimes it goes on sale, too!) - it can't be beat; in most cases, you'll get parts worth much more than what you pay for the box. Just come up with some way to sort and store all the parts you do get!
I've bought my first play bits from http://uk.farnell.com and also http://www.coolcomponents.co.uk

Hmm, I've not come across Cool Components before. Also worth looking at for those in the UK is Rapid. Their range is small compared to Farnell, but bigger than Cool Components. Their metal film resistor klt http://www.rapidonline.com/Electronic-Components/Resistors/Metal-Film-Resistors/Metal-Film-Resistor-Kit is good value.
The below often has components of interest.
I always ask questions!
What do you mean by
What is a good online company to order parts from?
Less expensive?
Faster delivery?
Military grade reliability? ETC.
One use for less expense, but slower delivery is DX.com. They have great prices and no shipping charge, but they may take 3 weeks to arrive. If your need is urgent, don't order there.

I found Cool Components when looking for an MP3 Trigger a while back, they seemed to be the only people who had stock so gave them a go for that and a couple of other little bits, you are right nothing like Farnell but had the stock I wanted so thought I would share the link.
Might also by myself that resistor pack you posted seems good.
