Where to start building arduino?

Hi

Im new and i just saw Arduino and i would like to learn more about it! But where do i begin? Some good internet sites with alot of good tutorials?

If i buy a Arduino Board will i receive it in alot of small parts that i have to put together or just 1 big part?

That for the help!

Samples as to what's available...

If you buy the Duemillanove (Arduino 2009), it is fully assembled.

Some vendors package it with a getting started kit...

If you're proficient at assembly, you can get one of the variously flavored kits, like the Boarduino...

As to tutorials...

The Arduino Playground has a lot of contributions...

The 'real' arduino and many clones come ready assembled, but some are available as kits to build yourself. You can even make a 'workalike' out of stripboard and parts you buy from ebay or some such site. You can buy starter kits containing an Arduino and stuff to make lots of circuits to experiment with. Its your choice.
