Which Arduino for RESTful POST over a SIM card?

Hey friends, it's been a while!

What are some good Arduino devices for POSTing via cell SIM card?

I want to hook up a gyroscope & GPS module, and then POST in certain circumstances.

BONUS:

  • Onboard LiPo charging circuitry
  • 2x Serial connections to avoid unhooking the GPS each time we want to debug via Serial

With that little information I would suggest an MKR 1400 GSM.

Amazon notes it doesn't come with an antenna - do you know, does it need one?

if you buy the ARDUINO SIM - MKR GSM 1400 Cellular Kit you get the Antenna and a SIM (sends data only to the Arduino IoT Cloud - so you can cancel the subscription after the initial free 90 days / 10 Megs)

You can buy of course the antenna separately (Dipole Pentaband Waterproof Antenna — Arduino Official Store)
