I am upgrading an old 1990 Ford mustang that uses vacuum operated actuators for Heat and A/C control and I want to change the vacuum actuators to electric servos and control them using a 2018 control panel via a Arduino board or raspberry pi board and not sure which would be best I thought Arduino cause they only need to function together or a separate times please help
Almost any model of Arduino could do this, but need more details from you to give a better recommendation.
I would generally recommend Nano V3 for a beginner.
The question is very confusing, because we don't know anything about your servos. May be before deciding the controller start with which electric servos you will be using. Also what will be the input for the arduino board. Take a deeper look into the 2018 control pannel check if the operating voltage is 5V or 3.3V
Making up the hardware maybe quite complex - worth looking at fixing the old system. The vacuum actuators can be pretty powerful and don’t need end stops etc
