Which optical mouse sensor is this?

Hello,

I would like to use the data of an optical mouse sensor. I found this already: http://www.liubo.us/read-data-from-an-optical-mouse-using-arduino-and-processing/

But I want to found out which sensor is used in my mouse, but there's no indication of the type. It's a Toshiba PA3571E-1ETB mouse.

Thanks!

Are there any markings on the sensor chip?

There are no markings on the chip...
But the hole pattern is the same as a PAN3101 but I am not sure that the pattern a marking is....

I agree that it looks like a PAN3101. This project should help with the interface:

Thanks! I will try it... I want to read out the data to control 2 servo's.

It could also be an Avago ADNS-2610, which appears to be pin compatible with the PAN3101 (the pattern also looks similar, perhaps it is a clone). The two chips may even be protocol compatible, so try Martijn's tutorial anyway.

The pcb tracks seem to support a pan3101 layout (or compatible)
