It was a gamble, I came up with the idea in the morning and submitted the order to JLCPCB in the evening. I have never seen this chip in my life, and docsheet for it was one lousy page. But it looked like it was going to do what I expected. It did not work immediately with my board (worked with PC) but because it needed pull down resistor to tell it there was a card available. 128MB is a lot of memory to store voice prompts, alarms and what not.

Yes I’m planning to make them available on ebay or similar, still WIP. You can get BT-201/BT-301 from aliexpress in the mean time if you don’t want to wait (the bluetooth one)

Just a quick update. It is expected that something like this would happen earlier or later. I have ordered from JLCPCB again, for delivery chose UPS taxes included, then got notification from UPS that I have to pay taxes. Contacted JLCPCB, they said they didnt pay taxes and did not include them on the bill and that the service that has taxes included is DHL and it is cheaper and takes the same time. So yeah, I was this idiot that decided to pay more so that I could pay even more when boards arive. Make sure you screen shot everything is the only solution it seems.
You should have chosen balloon delivery.

WHOA!!!!! Incredible sound! The story goes like this, the chip that I have has very nice DAC so bluetooth audio is very nice and clean, the output is powerful enough for in ear phones, but I wanted to see how it would play on studio quality passive headphones, and… the bass disappointed. I figured a headphone amplifier would sort this, it was a guess and a gamble, but it paid off! Stunning sound, and not just by my standard.
What are we looking at there? I can’t quite make it out. It does have my birthday as a date code although I don’t think that’s the problem.
