which servo to use ?

an impossible question this, but I will ask,

know about servo's, pwm signals etc.

want to quickly hook up a servo to a arduino,
just to point, 'in this direction' as a quick test of the pointer system I'm workign on,
( a bit of quick visual feed back )

so need something I can move the arm off about 180 degrees,
speed is not a problem,

what is the easiest / quickest servo to get hold off and hook up,

if I look on line there are 10000000 of,
ok, maybe no that many, but there must be one 'standard' servo,
like a 'standard' diode is a IN4007, and a stanard op amp is a '741'.

Look at this one:

SG90.

ebay is your friend, and < 20% the price.

or hobbyking.com

I use some of the below servos for tinkering. Note that only the very small servos might be directly powered from an arduino. Larger servos need en external power supply. If you need a servo quick and have a hobby shop or radio shack near by, then you might get a servo there.

thank you guys,

thats what I wanted to know,

small and simple is what I'm after.

have a good one
