Ok, so with all the help I've been lucky enough to get I think I'm getting somewhere.
I'm still not sure I fully understand the use of diodes, I'm going to need to do more research on that.
I'm going to use the TC4420 as the MOSFET driver for this.
I've attached a schematic of how I think it should look but still feel like I'm missing something here, especially with the diodes.
