Why am I getting this error in Arduino iot cloud? I am using Esp8266 NodeMcu 0.1 version.no extra device are attached

Hi @apurva_s45. I'm going to ask you for some additional information that might allow us to determine what is causing this error. Please add a reply here on the forum thread with the answers to the following questions:

Which specific board do you have? It will be useful if you provide a link to the product page from which you purchased the board as we will probably be able to glean technical details from it.

Do you have any external wiring, shields, modules, etc. connected to the board, or is it only the board alone connected to your computer?

The code is being compiled on Arduino iot cloud editor but the issue starts when I start to upload it to my board and I'm using this platform from a month and only frm yesterday I'm facing this issue before this the code was being dumped to the code

Please provide the information I requested.

I am using esp8266 (NodeMcu ver 0.1) board and no other devices are connected to it

OK, great. The ESP8266 microcontroller on your "NodeMcu" board must be put into a special "bootloader mode" during the upload. One of the possible causes of the error you encountered is that the microcontroller was not in that mode.

Normally the boards have a special circuit that automatically puts the microcontroller into bootloader mode. It is possible that the circuit on your board is not working. If so, you should be able to fix the problem by manually putting the board into the appropriate mode before starting an upload.

Please try this:

  1. Connect the NodeMcu board to your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Press and hold the button on the board that is labeled "FLASH".
  3. Press and release the button on the board that is labeled "RST".
  4. Release the button on the board that is labeled "FLASH".
  5. Start an upload in Arduino Cloud Editor.

Hopefully this time the upload will be successful.
