Continuing the discussion from Variable types with * prefix :
Hi @build_1971
Are you using the post composer in the "Markdown editor" mode (as indicated by having the switch in the
position)? Or are you using it in the "rich text editor" mode (as indicated by having the switch in the
A position):

never seen or used this switch…
After setting to md:

thanks for your fast response and help!
Which version of the reply editor are you using ?
Markdown or rich text, and how did you enter the code ?

It seems similar to the bug I described here:
I submitted a bug report for one of the other problems I mentioned:
I suspect this bug caused the misformatted content you see here:
(note that all the compilation output is on a single line instead of having line breaks, as it did in Arduino IDE's Output panel)
Despite quite some trying, I wasn't actually able to find a way to reproduce the problem using content copied from Arduino IDE. However, I am able to reproduce it using the output from Arduino Cloud Editor's "Copy Console Output"…
However, I have not found a way to reproduce the fault with code (only with content copied from the output panel in Arduino Cloud Editor).
From where did you copy that code in your misformatted post?:
I did not copy it.
I wrote it manually using tripple tick back (```).
In the A mode that gives me no option to start a new line. In MD mode it works as it always did...

In a codeblock on mobile, I cannot seem to add new lines by pressing Return on my keyboard. Reproducible steps: Open the post composer Switch to Rich Text if you’re not already there Go to the ‘more’ section [the one with the circle and a plus;...
