Why does my Arduino freeze when load (motor, pump) is switched on, even when using a relay?

JCA34F Good spot. The schematic is wrong, on the board I have 330Ohms. I've updated the schematic above, thank you!

You mean with reference to the 470Ω? No I haven't missed, but appearantly only updated the hardware and not the drawings :slight_smile: Do you think 330Ω is not enough? I don't remember why I did not put 470Ω there, maybe the 330Ω were just lying around. Nothing is getting hot and works as expected, even with sudden loads, and so I assume it's an acceptable circuit?
