What are the symptoms and how are you connecting.

I'm connecting through the USB port and the power goes into the board but it doesn't connect

I guess you have installed the required software, and now, what troubleshooting have you done?

None I'm asking here at the forum what I can do to troubleshoot

Well first of all, did you install the software? Your browser's not gonna talk to the USB port by itself.

Okay I did install the USB agent but the arduino 2.2.1 software is also not working??

Now you gotta make up your mind:

yeah yeah I'll be using arduino editor 2.2.1 now that I've got winzip working

Lets work on one thing at a time, and first step doesn't involve the web editor nor IDE.

Do Windows recognize the Arduino when you attach the usb cable?

You can tell if it's in the Device Manager.

First of all, make sure your Portenta H7 is properly connected to your computer via USB or another appropriate method.

Second: Under "Tools" > "Port," select the appropriate COM port or device for your Portenta H7. If you're not sure which port to choose, you can check your computer's device manager or system information to identify the Portenta's COM port.

Welcome @michael_whitaker i'm going to try it out I'll let you know what happens of a few consistent tests for troubleshooting
