Why is forum pagination not working?

Looking at this part of the forum I see page 1 ends thus:

And page 2 starts thus:

Two threads appear at the start of page 2 which are at the bottom of page 1. Why is this? At a casual glance it looks like someone has cross-posted.

I confirm the issue on Firefox and Chrome. It's probably worth reporting to the web team at the forum issue tracker:

Isn't that because other posts came in moving the existing ones down (and hence the last ones to the next page)?

What do you see when you go back to the first page?

The automatically generated MOVED and MERGED posts are included in pagination but are no longer displayed. It’s essentially a bug.

Patience? Thanks very much.

It’s an important bug because it looks like people are cross-posting. Is this hard to fix?

Yes, I checked that. It’s a bug. Not user error.

Considering it is not actually disrupting, it won’t probably fixed right now, but eventually it will (have some patience!).

Is anything going to be fixed right now?

How about fixing my user name displaying correctly?

I just checked a dozen or so bug reports on GitHub:

https://github.com/arduino/forum-issues

None of them have anyone assigned to them.

Here is one reported about a year and a half ago (15 Jan 2016):

@mastrolinux this is really slowing down the effort of giving support on the forum , any improvement will be really appreciated <3

No-one is even assigned to this, even though it is marked as a bug and an Arduino employee is asking for “any improvement”.

I’m not holding my breath here.
