I'm growing incredibly frustrated with Arduino and their lack of customer service. I purchased a Giga and Giga Display Shield in OCTOBER and requested a refund when the flash memory component failed on the Giga. Got so hot it burned my finger and melted the silkscreen off of the component.
I finally received a reply that I could get a refund for both products in DECEMBER and sent them back. I was refunded for the Giga Display, but not the Giga itself (the product with the problem!!!).
It is now nearly MARCH and I have yet to receive a refund for the Giga after being told by customer service that I would be refunded for both. Emails go unanswered with no refund to be seen.
This is unacceptable. I don't understand what the hold up is. Why am I not being refunded for a broken piece of hardware that I requested a refund for 5 MONTHS AGO?
Here is the reply to my request for the other portion of the refund (from December 27):
" Hi,
We apologize for the inconvenience. The refund will be managed fo the other board also."
What do I have to do to get my other $70 back? I want to use Arduino products, but the customer service is pathetic and unaccommodating. I'm confused that I've done nothing wrong, have been told that I'd be refunded, and can't seem to actually get a refund.
EDIT: I was finally able to get a refund, but it took a really long time. Arduino refunded half of my order and forgot the other half, but eventually gave me the other half. Now using a Nano ESP32 and having better luck than the Giga + Display Shield.
