Version 18 came in the spring and now first 19 and then 20 soon after.
I hope I am not rude but this makes me curious. This is probably because of the new hardware or something similar, but with for instance MS software this could mean bugs.

Thanks, but that did not answer my question.
There is always something to fix, so a couple of bug fixes is not very special. So is it the new boards.
Certainly it was to support the new UNO board announced this last weekend.

yes of course. You can read the release notes as "Version 19: the usual assortment of bugfixes and improvements. Version 20: Support for the Uno Hardware."
What new IDEs? What new Board? There's nothing about any of them in the General / News Forum where you supposedly can "Read about the latest happenings to Arduino "

You usually get news from direct source, not forums:
www.arduino.cc
http://arduino.cc/blog/

Sorry. I mistakenly thought that I could get news from a forum that deals with news.
Don
yep, but they don't update often often.
(For exemple, I don't read newspaper in a forum, I go to online website of the newspaper and I grab an online copy, but I could surely read about some article in the official board if somebody want to speak about it)
Forum are updated if users (Mods and Admins are still considered users :p) are willing to do it.
Forums are just a place to discuss.
then why have this on the forums in the first place

My point - exactly. I'm glad I'm finally getting some help here.

This user saw the Arduino Uno and Mega news item on http://slashdot.org/ but this user could not post this cool news on the news forum. There simply is no 'Start new topic' on the news forum. :-?
If you want guys, lets all post to :
"Arduino Forum ? Web/Forum/Email/Spam ? Forum"
and ask if they can regulary update the "News" section.
Until then, I recommand you look at the main page www.arduino.cc for News, if you don't want to miss anything.

Huh. Apparently normal users can no longer post "news" in the "News" forum:
"You cannot start new Topics in this Board."
