Widows has crashed ,now I need to instal the IDE on Ubuntu but am finding it ver

Im only just discovering Linux, and liking it,but so far all the software ive wanted has come straight from the Ubuntu repository so it just installs itself.

I am finding the direction too hard to follow on command line installing the Arduino IDE, could I get some help please.

Ive opened a terminal and typed in sudo apt-get install arduino arduino-core

Then I watched a huge amount of action as it did downloading and whatever else it does. Now back at the prompt and I cant follow what to do next.

Try looking in the menu system for an entry for Arduino. Try typing arduino in your terminal and hitting enter.
