Hi guys,

I have Arduino Uno in one corner of the room and PC in other corner. Between them there is ~6m long UTP cat5 cable.

If I put USB 'heads' on the end's of this UTP cable, will it work?

If not. Is here another way to read/enter data from/to Serial monitor?

The obvious non-technical answer is to move the Arduino nearer to the PC. I presume, however, that there is something you have not said which precludes this solution.

I suspect not, but it may be worth trying.

Why not get a couple of proper USB extension cables?

Wixel is wireless USB; bit pricey though imo.
