WiFi - Communicating wirelessly with board???

hey.

currently i communicate between processing and wiring board using a USB cable.

What i need to do is communicate with the board WIRELESSLY.

does anyone know of any wireless modules (receiver and transmitter) that can be used to do this with processing and wiring i/o board.

I really need to find one but havent been able to find anything.

Please advise

Thanks guys. really appreciate any info.

i dont know wether these work wih arduino, maybe you can find out for the rest of us

the system just seems to replace the usb connection with a bluetooth link, while pretending to be a normal usb cable to the connected devices.

hope this helps.

they do not offer usb-to-usb aircables, so you need to have the normal serial version of an arduino board.
could work then, i suppose. sounds great

yes that looks good. range is not that great (maximum 15 meters)

i will keep looking. hopefully there is something that operates on radio frequency.

Not certain it will work for you, but Sparkfun offers several wireless modules that look pretty cool (Note, be sure to look at both pages of wireless modules, many of the cheapest & most interesting modules are on the second page.). Their 2.4Ghz transceiver gives you 250Kbps with a range of up to 280 meters. It's not a replacement for USB, but if you just need to talk to the remote board, it might be a good option. If nothing else, you could likely use two Arduino's with the wireless link between them. If you do try this & it works, please post back here with a report!

i am thinking of using the bluetooth cable free system. the one that is for serial only.

but since i already have a board with a usb connection, is there any way to attach a serial port onto the board somewhere so i dont have to buy i new board?
