Hi, last day I bought two TB387 20DBM HIGH POWER 2.4GHZ SERIAL MODULE on Hobby Components (TB387 20dBm High_Power 2.4GHz Serial Module).
In description is specified the operation voltage (3,3V to 5,5V). I've tried at 3,3V and 5V but the module not function. I've connected the Rx pin of the board to Tx pin of the Arduino and the Tx pin of the board to Rx pint of Arduino. I laded on Arduino a empty sketch and I opened serial monitor and specified NL & CR.
9600 baud rate imposted (default on board). The board is unresponsive at AT commands, I've tried many at commands but the board not respond. The Rx led on Arduino board flashes every time I send a command. I tried both boards but anything, don't receive anything feedback. On the web I nothing found about this board. Please help me, in future I will share my project with this low costs potents boards!!
Helpful information here:
How are you sending the AT commands to the board?
Its quite common for these types of boards to require that the AT commands be sent with no gaps between the characters, so if you are sending them by typing on a keyboard it wont work.
Hi, I recently bought the same TB387 transmitter, and, although I followed the steps in the guide that Wasatch posted (thank you so much) I've been unable to receive anything through the Serial Monitor. I have put the CMD pin to 0V (Down) after powering up the TB387, but still doesnt work.
I'm not very sure of how (if it is possible) is the user suppose to know whether the board got into the AT mode or not. Any ideas on this?
Thank you so much,
Borlaff
I forgot to add any information about the setup I'm testing.
I'm trying to connect an Arduino Mega 2560 through two TB387 2.6Ghz transmitters. One of them connected to the TX and RX pins of the Arduino, and the other one through a USB to serial adapter.
I crossed the cables ( Serial@TXD to TB387@RXD and Serial@RXI to TB387@TXD) and tried to use the Serial Monitor from the Arduino IDE on Windows. The CMD pin on the TB387 in connected to Ground of the Serial adapter.
Thank you for your help,
Borlaff
