wifi no longer in AP mode

I'm pretty sure I messed up my wifi settings in OpenWrt-Yun - my Yun longer acts in AP mode.
it is sort of a catch-22 in that in order to fix, i need SSH and that doesnt work if i can't connect.
any suggestions?

where is the MAC address stored? or how do i find it or read it?

You can upload the yunserialterminal example sketch over USB and then open the serial monitor to get a console. If you don't have a lot of stuff loaded in the openwrt side you can use failsafe mode to reset the yun back to an as shipped state. See the FAQ for details.
