WiFi or Bluetooth Module (Android and Arduino)

I want to send command from Android to Arduino. Basically turn on and off the LED. Can anyone tell me which one is better, Bluetooth or WiFi?

I guess it depends on what you've got, what you want, and how good the Android stuff is, which could be not very. Bluetooth is far simpler and about 1/10 the cost. Don't expect more than about 10m range with line-of-sight, less with walls. I believe you can often get quite a bit more range with WiFi, but that also depends on the Android hardware.

I used a bluetooth module that offers about 100 meter range (sadly since most modules in any devices are just typical 10 meter range modules I get about 30 meter range in good conditions)

Hope this helps
