WiFi relaibility MKR 1010 Unifi Access points

I am having serious issue with mkr 1010 and WiFi in the real world.

The issue of commen SSIDs over multiple access points has bee raised in the wifinina library on github even after a year or more its very hard to get any information on if there will be an update to the library and firmware.

The other issue I have is the Signal strength seems to be related to the orientation of the MKr 1010 and it can make moro thn 30-40db on the received signal strength ie RSSI.

So ok in a lab you can position the arduino in a specific direction or put foil behing it as one of the arduino support team suggested . But in the real world this just is not practical.

I quote

".....Set up a metallic reflector behind the board but facing your router (or vice versa).
Make sure that there is no risk at all of the board or any other component touching the metallic surface.
This helps to reflect part of the signal that was lost back in the desired direction."

Sounds like they are aware they have issues but as yet have not got a fix.

Hello,
I've been trying to solve my problem with MKR-Bord+ENV-Shield for a few weeks, but nothing helps. I also tried without ENV, the problem still remains. I don't use the "Carrier-Connector" any more (at first I thought that it had problems because of that) and removed all other sensors (soil moisture) and relays, rewrote the sketch (but also need a UNO - how to connect)

But it doesn't work in the cloud!!!!

The board only has a connection to the cloud when it is connected to the PC.

(Version 1.5)

how is something supposed to be "smart" when it needs a PC to connect to WiFi?

Shouldn't that be the purpose of the cloud? (especially since it's not free)

Please suggest solutions. Thank
