WiFi Shield connection without internet

I'm trying to connect the Arduino WiFi Shield to my computer's Ad-Hoc network, when sharing Internet by the Ad-Hoc the shield works but without internet the error led turns on and the shield doesn't execute the program any suggestions?

or any way to create an Ad-Hoc network with the shield?

Look up the defaults for the WiFi shield and then create a matching network from your PC.

tried to create a network with the parameters WiFi Shield demands but still not working without internet :S, any idea how to make the Shield works like a Server? or that it doesn't need the internet?
