Wifi Shield: Digital Handshake

I want to install the Arduino Wifi Shield (http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/ArduinoWiFiShield) on my Arduino Robot(http://arduino.cc/en/Main/Robot), however the pin for the handshake is used by the LCD. I assume that I cannot just use any other I/O pin instead, right?

Is there a method of generating a 'Handshake' by means of software or do I need a physical connection?

Thank you for any comments/suggestions. Kind regards Stefan

The WiFi shield uses D7 for the handshake line. It would probably be easier to change the LCD pin instead. Which LCD hardware and library are you using?

I am using the LCD Module that comes standard with the robot (http://store.arduino.cc/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=37_5&products_id=288) and up until now have only used the standard Robot Libraries that come with the Arduino Software.

Could you provide me with information of how to change the pin, please?

Thank you.
