Wifi Shield not resopnding after upgrade

Hi All,

I hope you'll be able to help me.
I decided to upgrade to version 1.05 inorder to enjoy more advanced features of the Wifi Shield.

Setup:

  1. Arduino Mega ATK
  2. Wifi Shield

After following the official instructions in http://arduino.cc/en/Hacking/WiFiShieldFirmwareUpgrading

Outcome:
I'm able to upload code but as for now my wifi is DEAD and not responding. :0

I also tried to connect via cool term to see if through the serial it is possible to get any information, but that does not connect either.

I really need your help guys, I spend A LOT of money on this kit and I really just want to go back to older version and carry on from there.

Can anybody give me some advice on what can be done to fix the problem?

downgrade WiFi shield firmware back, start over.
start new windows instance, I use ghost type software and ghost new OS will take minutes.
install different version Java run time.
test different Arduino IDE version.

WiFi shield firmware might need different Arduino IDE or Java or OS or firewall setting. Test them out.
