The installation Wizard ran without errors. The sample code for the 433 MHz Radio Frequency modules is said to reside in the File |
"Sketches" folder. This folder is empty. The File | Examples folder works O.K. I use Windows 7. I can blink a LED.

The sample code for the 433 MHz Radio Frequency modules...
The what?
As far as I know the Sketches folder is for storing code that you create so if you just installed the Arduino IDE it'll be empty. . . . did you need to install a library/examples for this hardware? if so it'd probably be in the examples section
The Project 433 code is not in the File | Examples folder. I do not save my sketches in the Sketches folder. Maybe I should.
There must be a separate down load for "Projects xxx" from the instalation.
Where is the "File | Sketches" folder located? " File | Save " goes to the last place I saved a sketch, even when saving a new sketch. "Sketches" still shows up empty. Regards.
Sorry, I meant to say: "Where is the Sketchbook located?"
• Start the Arduino IDE
• Click File then Preferences
Can you give a link or advise from where you got "The sample code for the 433 MHz Radio Frequency modules"
http://ninjablocks.com/blogs/how-to/7501042-adding-rf-433mhz-to-your-arduino
This is the instructions for using the 433 MHz modules, with the Arduino.
These instructions may have been lifted from a Ninja Block controller, or I have skipped the trunk of the tree.
I will look at preferences. The "Help" menu has a great deal of "getting started" information.
Thanks for your concern. Robert
