Windows doesn't discover SparkFun FTDI Basic Breakout

Hi
I have an Arduino Pro Mini 5V 16Mhz from Sparkfun. I bought a Sparkfun FTDI FT232RL Breakout to upload my sketches. I connected it to my HP Pavilion G6 with Windows 8.1, and here is the problem: OS doesn't discover connected device. It is not displayed in Other Devices in Device Manager and "Installing new hardware" windows does not appear. I tried to install drivers in a few ways, as SparkFun's tutorial shows: Sparkfun's tutorial. It didn't work. Arduino IDE can't see new COM ports as it should happen(showed in tutorial). Please help me make it work. Arduino alone is not damaged, because if I connect it to my computer with FTDI, it has a HIGH state on pin 11 where I have my LED connected.

Edit
I found this video: Youtube link
There is presented the same module as I have. When the man plugs it into the computer, then the "Installing new hardware" window appears. I plugged mine into three diffrent laptops with three different operating systems(Win 7, 8.1, 10) and there was no reaction from the OS.

So, did you use the same charge-only USB cable to connect it to the three different computers?

Oh, I haven't thought about it. I'll get a new cable and check it out.

Often times when buying little things like that, I order two of them since they are not that expensive. That lets me figure out if it is a bad board (if they act differently) or something I am doing (they act the same) and helps figure out which rock to look under (and gives me a spare if something happens to one of them). That is what I just did with my order of stuff from Adafruit - their equiv. is the FTDI Friend + Extras (should be here Tuesday! )
