Wine rack

Hi guys, I'm thinking of making a wine each with an automated wine picker. It's really tricky to get to the space under my stairs, so I'm thinking a rack full of wine, an app ( maybe using blynk) select a wine, its automatically produced at a certain place. I think stepper motors are the best way to go, I'm guessing 2of, x and y locations, with some kind of indexing table to assign wines to locations, but I don't know where to start. I can't find a similar idea, some kind of shelf stacker perhaps?

As long as you don't articulate a joint then I don't think the program is going to be that hard to write. The mechanic side is going to be the hardest part and that's going to be complicated by the area you plan to install it.

As wine is normally stored horizontal may be a x/y pusher from behind the bottle it to a tray that's x/y/z controlled.

How will you load the wine initially? And add more later on?
