Wire library question (edited)

I've been studying the Wire library prior to using an SPI (edit:VTI) pressure sensor. The data sheet for the sensor shows an example of a one byte read from the sensor that uses the repeat start condition of I2C.

My question is, how does one generate the repeat start using the Wire library?

Edit: I meant a VTI pressure sensor, the SCP1000-D11, not an SPI.

Hi, I had a look at the sources of the Wire-library, and it looks like Wire can't do this. (Sends a stop-condition after each master-transfer) But here is someone who found a another solution: http://www.arduino.cc/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1214872633

Hi! That was the conclusion I came to as well. Thank you very much for the link. That certainly looks like the solution. I’ll report back my results and more about my application after I try this.

Thanks again!

Yay!

That was all I needed. The barometric pressure here is 99.786 kPa = 29.47 inHg = 14.47 psi.

Thanks again!
