Wireless Arduino with Modbus

I'm wondering if I can use an Arduino microcontroller with Modbus to receive information from a sensor with modbus capability, then relay that information wirelessly to a receiver? From this page, it appears the Arduino Duemilanove has modbus compatibility, but I'm unclear because I don't see anything about modbus communication on the Arduino Duemilanove page. Also, for wireless capability, I vaguely recall there being some sort of addon module to enable wireless or bluetooth. I'm not sure if this particular microcontroller is compatible though. If there are other wireless options, what are the ranges?

The only Arduino I have used in the past was the Arduino Uno but I didn't use modbus communication or wireless, so these features are new to me. Any information or clarification you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Do any of you with experience using Arduino have any suggestions?

For a Modbus slave solution, here another link. Easy and simple.
