Wireless Button Control

Hello Everyone,

I have a set of buttons that control a servo with my Arduino. I want to have those buttons control the servo without having to run some long wires.

What do I need to buy to make this happen? Do I need 2 arduinos and some wireless shields? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You Josh

You would need an Arduino to read the buttons and drive the wireless. You would then need another to decode the wireless and control the servo.

Depending on the distance you require, you may be better off teaching your Arduino to read an IR remote.

Adafruit sells an RF module for remote control: https://www.adafruit.com/products/1096

Check out IRremote or IRLib libraries for infrared remote control

The distance is about 2 feet but I do have obstructions. I am thinking of using 2 arduinos but I have no idea how to make this work, does anyone know of a tutorial I can read?

The solution I proposed is RF, shown here. I used it myself to add remote control to a clock with buttons, as posted here.
