Has anyone ever used wireless communication between Arduino and Raspberry PI?

And could tell me the reason to use the Raspberry PI instead of Xbee? What are the advantages?

That's a silly question. It's like asking why elephants are better than chocolate ice cream. Two entirely different kinds of hardware for two entirely different purposes (the Pi and the XBee, not the elephant and the ice cream).
