This all information will be be transferred through wifi from a dedicated server.

You can also suggest me some alternative or more better idea.

Using android phone has HDMI port, hook up external monitor for display. if less 12" is OK then use android tablet alone. Write android software for presentation.

HI sonnyyu,
I need a small device which will be mouted to the wall android phone is not a good alternative.
I need to make 400 units of it.

here is a sample device which is connected to wifi .

thanks.

I suggest you do some searching for eInk products. These things can be hooked up to a device (such as an arduino) and used like a regular display. But once the control (and power) is removed, they keep their last state. It means you're not leaving anything electronic hanging around.

Amazon Kindle, 6" E Ink Display, Wi-Fi

Barnes & Noble' Wifi Nook eReader

both come with E-ink display and are android tablet ( mass produced and has good price).

Wrote database backend to push data, and android software which load into Kindle or Nook for presentation.

The bare displays are getting easier to get hold of now though.
