Wireless Ethernet

Hi everyone,

I have device that logs some sensor values and whenever I want to download those log files on my laptop, I have to connect the device to my laptop via an Ethernet cable. I was wondering if it is possible for me to replace the Ethernet cable with a wireless Ethernet bridge. If yes, what specs do I need to take into account? Also, because this particular device is going to be on a car, are there bridges out there to work on battery and have a small size? Is it going to be easier for me to buy something off the shelf or build my own?

Any advice and help is much appreciated

There are various ways to connect a device with an Ethernet interface to a WiFi network. The most general approach is to use something like a Vonets WiFi bridge (there are plenty of alternatives that do the same thing).
