AFAIK the nRF24L01+ transceivers will work over that range when there is line-of-sight between the two devices. You should probably use the high powered version with the external antenna for your base station. They are reliable, cheap and easy to use.

Can you elaborate on that? You can send and receive serial data from digitized analog voltages. And there are only 2 "logical levels", true and false.Is that clear line of sight or are there obstructions?
