Wireless LIDAR inferfacing with arduino uno R3

Hello everyone!

I was working on a project which requires mapping of a small area (such as a room).

I thought of using an LIDAR sensor and I would like to know how to interface it with the arduino board (uno r3).

(I have attached a link to a video describing my requirement)

I want to use the live feedback used by the sensor to be transmitted wirelessly to my computer and use those readings to make a 2-D model of the area.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

The interface method depends on the sensor. Which have you chosen to use?
