Wireless PS3 controller + Relays

Hello all, I am after some guidance please. I’m using the PS3 wireless Bluetooth code as at the end of this post and I want to be able to control relays dependant on what relay I choose.

The finishing goal is for my cars hydraulic suspension system to be controlled wirelessly from near the car where I can raise or lower the car at my command.

For this I have a 7 core cable that controls the 4 corners, lift, drop and the 12v supply.

For the testing purposes I want the PlayStation 3 wireless controller to lift all 4 corners up with an up button and drop all 4 corners with the down button on the PS3 controller. Once I have the code figured out I can then adjust each button to do a separate command.

Now I added to the up button command a “digitalWrite(2,HIGH);” so it sent voltage to the relay coil to switch the relay. The trouble is it kept it on high.

So I added at the end of the commands

And what happens is the up command activated the relay and opens it straight after which is great. However when I press and hold the up button on the PS3 controller it won’t keep the relay closed.

Basically I want the PS3 controllers buttons to work as momentary switches that stay switched as long as I hold the button and off as soon as I let go.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know I can get rid of the PlayStation move controller section of the code as it won’t be used
