Ok. I went over to the PJRC forums as well as the RF24 github page for guidance on that. If they can't suggest anything, I'll go ahead and order some nano's 3.3 or pro minis 3.3's and deal with the lack of USB.
For some good news, I was able to assemble the dropper post mechansism. It's working well with the servo and Lipo battery.
