For a project I am going to use the arduino uno I think. The project is in work and I will be measuring temperature using a tmp 35 temp sensor. I have wrote the code to illuminate 3 LED's depending on the rise in temp.
What I am interested in is possibly illuminating the LED's wirelessly. I have heard about possbily using something called the XBEE but I k now nothing about this. Could anyone offer some advice or is there any previous similar projects about?

A whole section in there in doing exactly what you're talking about and it's all based around Xbee / ZigBee.
