Wireless Temperature Sensor based on ATtiny84+RFM12B

Inspired by Nathan Chantrell's project http://nathan.chantrell.net/20120225/an-attiny-based-wireless-temperature-sensor/, I decided to create a similar board, but based on the digital DS18B20 instead of the TMP36 and on my own PCB rather than stripboard. It has been very educational experience with few fails on the way, but the end result is a working sensor. This is first-time PCB making for me and it wasn't really going smooth so be forgiving.

The sensor sends temperature data every 60 seconds to a NanodeRF, the Nanode Then sedns to to an EMONCMS v3 installation.

The code is on github: GitHub - mharizanov/TempTX_tiny: ATtiny84 Bases Wireless Temperature Sensor

My progress on this project is documented on my site: ATtiny84 – Martin's corner on the web

For the future I plan to create versions with I2C port (for any I2C sensor) and another for Current Sensing (for power monitoring projects)

How much did it cost to make this?

About 17EUR or 22USD

The ATTIny84 and RFM12B making up 90% of the cost

I've been working on something similar, so seeing this helped me quite a bit. Thanks for sharing.

i am really struggling with the wiring as well as programming...i am trying to have 8 of these aty chips with each chip connected to its own potentiometer and RF tranceiver and then those 8 chips send data every 5-10 seconds to an arduino uno with rf tranceiver at the laptop, receiving the pot values from each ATY....any help :S
