Wireless trasmitter/receiver sensor project

Hi, I am working on sensor project.

I have mounted IR sensor on my toilet seat to detect weather person have used the toilet or not. I am trying to use wireless communication during this sensing part.

Instead of connecting
IR sensor-> MCU1 -> Transmitter ------------------> Receiver -> MCU2 -> alarm.

I want to connect this system as follows:
IR sensor -> Transmitter ----------------------------> Receiver -> MCU -> alarm.

Is that possible to configure like what I just described??
I am trying to use Seeedstudio 315MHz RF Low Cost Transmitter / Receiver Pair from

Oh by the way.
When the sensor detects, data input for the transmitter is around 2.3 volts.
