Wiring 37 RGB LED's

Hey Guys,

For a project I am working on I need to wire and control 37 RGB LED's with a Common Cathode. I would like to either use my Uno or Mega 2560 R3 for the control. I am quite new to electronics and I have never tried to wire this many LED's.

How should I do this?

"Common cathode" is a big problem, it means they won't work with any common LED driver chips.

(Why does nobody ever ask before they buy the LEDs...?)

If you switch to Common Anode there's dozens of ways to do it. Depending on how much your time is worth it might even end up cheaper than trying to use Common Cathode.

Is there no way of using common cathode ones? I do have some shift registers lying around..
