I have a Batron bthq22005vss, and I layouted a board fitting to the display. I looks like this:
It has a PCF8574 to control it via I2C. Two trim resistors for contrast and backlight brightness.
I layouted it with Eagle layout editor (free for this size) and etched it myslelf.
