Hello,
Does anyone know if there is a library for arduino ide which boots up the type-c connector? I have a device which requires type c usb for powering and i am trying to power it through an arduino uno (powered by usb). I don't know if this is doable, i am experimenting. Currently i have soldered the VCC, GND, D+, D- and i am on hold.
The Uno can't host USB, so the data lines aren't useful, but 5V power and ground should work. You have a type-C
connector breakout?
No i don't. I was trying to power an adafruit feather directly through the type c cable but it wouldn't start. Don't they have their own chips at the connector end?
Might as well have damaged the atmel because now there isn't any continuity to the i/o pins .................. :o
Tried also to output on a pin and measured 0 voltage.Uploading sketch works fine though...
Should have checked that these damn boards only power up remotely by a 3.7 lipo! Like we have lipos lying around...
