I want to make an personal panic alarm (just for fun), but can't find any buzzer that really "screams" in a small package.
Look at these:
Personal Panic Alarm 140db.
It clames to produce 140db from a tiny keychain button. Witch buzzer sits inside these, and what power do they need to work?
I have a lot of buzzer, active and passive, 3/5v. and the only one that really is loud as hell at 5v. is this:
The other ones would even wake up my dog.
So my question is, how did they manage to get a panic alarm in this size that produces 140db.?

Creative writing.
Like the "Internet inch" used in advertisements related to things like porn sites.
Obviously, if you place the sound pressure meter in the outlet of the device ...
I notice that Amazon one is "Currently unavailable"!
Your Aliexpress link corrected: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32884095213.html
My point is that these panic alarms is really loud. I know, bacause i have heard it. My buzzers is'nt even close to that
Sorry for the long link btw
The ones in smoke detector alarms are usually quite loud (I don't know exactly in DB), even using a 9V battery. You should study one of them, and replicate the circuit.
Ciao, Ale.

140dB at 1cm is only 100dB at 1m range, which is easily within capability of any resonant piezo compression sounder.
If they don't specify the distance at which that volume level is achieved, you don't actually know how
loud it is.

I have heard the sound of panic alarm myself, and that is really loud. An random Arduino buzzer powered with 3-5 volt is way too week in comparison.
