I apparently caught Covid-19 at the Roger Waters concert. I'm not really surprised as it was the perfect storm conditions-wise. Thousands of unmasked people, frigid air conditioning, high humidity fog for the lasers. What could go wrong?
I have a pretty mild case, probably due to having had all but the most recent vaccinations/boosters. Yesterday, my blood oxygen percentage returned to normal and what a head rush that was!
Get well soon. My dose of covid in April was less severe than my reaction to the first jab I had. I had all three and last week I was invited for a second booster, but not booked it yet.
Thank you.
If I wasn’t aware of the existence of Covid and hadn’t had a home test kit, I would go blissfully along thinking I had a case of Hay Fever since it’s our ragweed season. I put off the latest booster until it was too late but I’ll probably get whatever comes up for the next variant.
I was out on my bicycle yesterday and I think I’m just about well.
Interesting, my allergic rhinitis flared up a few days ago, but that is "just sneezing fits", and eyes itching.
The major symptoms of covid is a cough. I have a chronic cough that has lasted over 50 years now (but never even had a puff of a cigarette), when I had covid the nature of the cough changed a bit. It was less tight, when it tightened up I tested negative for covid.
The first day I tested positive (last Thursday) I had nasal congestion, drainage, slight sore throat, watery eyes and the beginning of a tightness in my chest. Exactly the same as an allergic bacterial upper respiratory infection. I only tested because I had been in such a likely environment to catch Covid. I never had the “dry cough” that is a common Covid symptom and would just sneeze occasionally. When I went to the doctor they measured a temperature of 101F. All in all, no big deal. I’m still testing positive though.
