Hello All,
You are here because you are cheap and you bought one of those "too good to be true" cheap TFT screens on Amazon or eBay and now found that it has no documentation and is not working out the box...
Example Cheap TFT on Amazon ( this is the one I bought )
If you have play around with it for awhile and tested the Touchscreen and SD functions you will have discovered that these do work and so you are saying to yourself that the screen must be functional...
Well it probably is and all you really need is the following tweaked code that another user : goltermc created. This is all you need.
I took his edits to the library and created a little sample that test the screen, touch and SD. It also shows how to calibrate the screen with rotation.
I am a total noob to electronics but I am a ex-developer so the code is where I feel more comfortable. I say this just so you can feel better about being able to get this working.
This hope is you should be able to just download, unzip into your Arduino folder and move the mainmenu.bmp file to the root of a micro SD card and insert into the TFT.
I posted this as a reply the to the thread where I found goltermc's great library but felt it needed a topic all it's own so you could find this easily !
I hope this saves you time and much frustration.
Best of luck !
