Working when plugged in but not on battery

My circuit is working if I'm using a laptop and its plugged in. My sensor and my buzzer are also working when plugged in. But when I just connect it to a 9 v battery there's light on sensor and the arduino but when I try to make it near a lpg or try to make it sense something the buzzer don't activate.

Mq2 gas sensor
9 v battery
Piezo active buzzer

Fix that.

How sir?

Put the 9V battery back in the smoke alarm or transistor radio, where it belongs.
If it worked with a laptop,it should work with a phone charger.

I'm clearly lost sorry. Do I need to directly connect the 9v to the smoke detector?

I don't really care what you do with the 9V battery, as long as you keep it well away from your Arduino.
They're a great way to waste money.

What?

9V radio batteries are great for powering radios and smoke alarms.
They are terrible for powering Arduinos.

Oh okay. So can I just use the cord that it comes with? I thought it's just only for laptop. This is my first time using arduino. Thank you very much
