yes it is for artists, funded almost exclusively by arts councils. But that does not mean that you cannot take a workshop there! most artist-run centres in Canada will welcome anyone to their workshops. it's a good chance for cross-pollination.
But you shoudl especially go because I taught Arudino to the guy who is teahcing the workshop, and I rememeber at the time making everyone promise to spread the word!
