I am interested in building a smallest possible cycling training system.
The system should allow me to pedal between 0 to , say, 1200 W with a visual indication of the power output.
I wonder if I can use a suitable (which ?) treadmill brake motor with a due controller ?
The best (both size and simplicity wise) would be a motor with shafts go to both side that allow hooking pedals arms directly.
Otherwise, a suitable motor with one shaft and Pulleys / belt transmission
Will APPRECIATE your advice on what motor / controller should I chose for that
If I could make a Mid-Drive electric bike motor (which comes ready with pedal arms) act like a resistance unit - that would probably be the simplest https://goo.gl/DVEVvR
I need to be able to pedal at several hundreds watts continuously, and get a visual indication of the power output in real time
A trainer like that requires a bicycle. I am aiming at a solution without a bike. A system that can be disassembled and stored in a trunk box. Have storing limitation at the place
